What’s better than your kids learning logic and thinking skills through a game? A game they can take on the go of course!
LogiBugs is a compact magnetic travel game designed for ages 6 and up. With 48 challenges in 4 different levels–starter, junior, master, and expert, the game takes the player from basic thinking skills to advanced strategic planning, logic, and problem-solving.

The LogiBugs game includes a compact travel case that holds all your components: a small challenge guidebook, 12 magnetic ladybugs, and the magnetic gameboard (which is the inside of the travel case).
My 3rd grader began at the Starter level. To set up the game you choose a challenge and put the corresponding bugs on the board as shown. There are 5 red bugs with 1-5 dots on them, 4 orange bugs with 1-4 dots on them, and 3 yellow bugs with 1-3 dots on them. The rules of the game state that you must line up each color in numerical order horizontally or vertically. There is only one way that they will all fit on the board for her challenge.
Once you think you have the puzzle solved, you can flip to the back of the booklet and check the solution key.
The Junior level adds a twist in how you set up the game by providing clues for color or number placement, but you have to use your planning and problem-solving skills to decipher which bug goes where, even at the start. My daughter was still able to solve the puzzle on her own at this level.
Moving onto the Expert level, she needed some help from me to find the correct solution. She was close in her placement of the colors but needed to rearrange colors and directions a little to make them fit correctly.
Similarly, on the Master level, she also needed my help as the booklet offers less clues about placement and it is a challenge for little minds to plan out color and pattern placements in their minds. However, the beauty of SmartGames is the gradual increase in difficulty, so kids are able to build on their new thinking skills systematically.
Both my daughter and I enjoyed playing each level of LogiBugs and I think that the more she plays it, the less help from me she will need.
